“Oh. My. God. We were just driving through Reno on our way to a fishing trip and this place BLEW OUR MIND. We live in San Francisco and have access to some pretty excellent falafel and shwarma… And this place delivered beyond our wildest dreams. Seriously. Do not miss this spot.”- Lucy B.

Located in MidTown, India Kabab and Curry is dedicated to offering authentic Indian food with plenty of vegetarian and vegan options too. The chefs travel to India once a year to bring the best and most recent dishes back to Reno. The lunch buffet is a favorite amongst regulars.
“Certainly my go to for Indian food in Reno. Fantastic food and quick, no-nonsense service.
The quality and value of their lunch buffet (~$9 for all you can eat), will keep me coming back again and again. They consistently include my favorite, chicken tikka masala, and bring naan to your table. During my most recent visit, my vegan companion commented on the superior variety of choices for the non-carnivore as well.” – Katie R

Thai Lotus offers family-style food made with fresh ingredients and firsthand knowledge of authentic Thai cooking.
“My annual business trip to Reno also means my annual dinner at Thai Lotus. I always bring the team here for a meal. Not because “it’s good Thai for Reno” but because it’s damn good Thai food, period. It’s always a very pleasant surprise for those who haven’t been here.” – Caroline K.

Zagol is the first and only Ethiopian restaurant in Reno and isn’t lacking in options for those with adventurous taste buds. Ethiopia is also the birthplace of coffee. Zagol gives coffee connoisseurs the option to experience the traditional Ethiopian whole bean coffee ceremony.
“Now I’m no connoisseur of Ethiopian cuisine (I imagine there aren’t many in Reno who are) so I can’t offer anything as far as how it compares to other Ethiopian restaurants. What I CAN say, though, is that the food was a treat, the experience was eclectic, and the service was delightful.” – Virginia M
