Reno Tahoe Ski Resort End-of-Season Parties

It’s mid-April already? It’s time to party like there’s no tomorrow… because tomorrow keeps getting warmer and warmer. So join the cool kids and enjoy some spring skiing and fun events at your favorite resort before we say “See you next season!” to the slopes.

 

Alpine Meadows : 33rd Annual Snow Golf Tournament

Sat. April 16

Ditch the ski jacket for a collared shirt and khakis- Alpine Meadows’ Annual Snow Golf Tournament is back for its 33rd year! As the only top-to-bottom snow golf course, this highly anticipated spring event is a unique way to spend a day on the slopes with the whole family. The nine-hole course starts at the top of Summit Express Chair and meanders its way down the mountain with the last holes bringing competitors back to the bottom of Alpine Bowl Chair.

 

Diamond Peak : Closing Weekend

Sat. April 16 – Sun. April 17

Wear your tropical tees for closing weekend and join us to say Aloha and cheers to a great season. Happy hour drink specials begin at 2pm on Saturday and Sunday including $3 beer special, $3 house wine, and $4 cocktail special. On closing day all draft beers will be $3 all day long!

 

Northstar California : Spring It On! Closing Weekend

Sat. April 16 – Sun. April 17

Saturday: Teams of 4 will compete in a single elimination style volleyball tournament. The Arctic Volleyball Court will be set up on the snow in front of the Lodge at Big Springs at Mid-mountain. All ages are encouraged to participate. The tournament is limited to the first 8 teams that sign up, however the court will be open for non-tournament style play.

Sunday: Complimentary Face Painting and Balloon Twisting, PLUS live music will be at the Lodge at Big Springs.

 

Sierra-at-Tahoe : Customer Appreciation Day

Mon. April 18

We have planned our closing day for Sunday, April 17th. Shred in the sunshine until then + join us for Customer Appreciation Day on April 18th from 10-2pm.

Skiers and riders of all ages can purchase a lift ticket for $30 on April 18, 2016. All of the proceeds raised from the day’s lift ticket sales will be donated to sponsor youth recreation and education including youth baseball, soccer, swimming, and other youth activities.

All guests are invited to join John Rice, General Manager, and the rest of Sierra’s managing team for the official “last run of the season” from the top of Grandview Express beginning at 2:00 p.m. Last call at the Sierra Pub will be at 2:45 p.m., in time for the ending of all winter operations at 3:00 p.m.

 

Squaw Valley : 26th Annual Cushing Crossing

Sat. April 23

The 26th Annual Cushing Crossing is the best event of the spring season. The original pond skimming event that started a spring resort ritual. Every year we gather a celebrity judging panel and amazing emcee’s for this spectacle. Filled with big spills and laughable thrills this is one spring event that you don’t want to miss. Event kicks off at 1pm, awards at 3pm at the KT Base Bar.

Squaw Valley : Cinco de Mayo High Camp

Sun. May 5

Grab your skis or snowboards and swim suit for unique Cinco de Mayo party at 8,200 feet. We’ll be serving up ice cold margaritas, Mexican themed food specials and live music at the High Camp Hot Tub. Get out on the mountain in the morning then head over to the fiesta for a fun afternoon under the California sun. Let’s celebrate skiing and riding in May!
