Make a Splash at the Reno River Festival
On Mother’s Day weekend (May 13 – May 14), downtown Reno is going to be action-packed with a 2-day festival kicking-off the summer fun in Reno Tahoe. The annual Reno River Festival has events for just about anyone and fun for everyone. The Truckee River is full and rushing through Reno, so get ready to watch world-class kayakers navigate the rapids and paddleboarders show off their skills, all while enjoying the beautiful outdoors.
The adventure park will offer a variety of obstacles, games and challenges such as the Truckee River Zipline, Mega Rock Walls, 30′ bungee jumping, Mechanical Bull Ride, The Giant Roaring River Slide, Human Hamster Balls and much more!
There is nothing like sipping a good beer while enjoying the sunshine, music and views of the beautiful Truckee River. Select breweries will showcase an array of beers from their breweries. A $25 ticket gets you a commemorative cup, a generous sample of each beer and a full beer of your choice.
With your ticket to The Summer Wine Village, you can sample up to 16 of the many summer wines, champagnes, sangrias and mixed beverages on display, two full glasses of your choice of wine, a commemorative Reno River Festival Wine glass and a VIP view of the music lineup for only $30. Space is limited so hurry and get your tickets now.
All the best parties are better when you add a little bit (or a lot) of mouthwatering food. Vendors from around Reno and Sparks will be serving up their best hot dogs, tacos, burgers, fried chicken, candy and many more easy-to-eat snacks and foods.
Looking for something special for mom this Mother’s Day? More than 100 different shops will offer something for everyone, from handmade crafts to popular retail items. Grab a drink and snack, and take a leisurely stroll through Smuggler’s Village to find the perfect gift.
