Local Apres Ski Spots in Reno Tahoe
Après ski is officially defined as “a social activity after a day’s skiing,” but it can also be described as a well-earned Happy Hour. After a day of shredding the slopes at one of our 18 world-class ski resorts, there’s nothing better than relaxing with drinks, friends and fun times. Here’s some great places and popular drinks to enjoy après ski.
Miguel’s Mexican Food
Miguel’s Mexican Food is located on Mt. Rose Highway, just down the road from Mt. Rose Ski Resort. Enjoy margaritas, local craft beers, and of course, fantastic food. Craving Mexican food in MidTown? Check out their location on Virginia Street.
Great Basin Brewing Company
Take a sip of history at Nevada’s oldest operating and most award-winning brewery, Great Basin Brewing Company. Both their Reno and Sparks locations have more than a dozen of their world-class micro brews on tap, as well as bottles and growlers available. Overwhelmed by the many options? Just say “Gimme an Icky!” This IPA contains a blast of Cascade hops and is named after the Ichthyosaur, Nevada’s official state fossil.
Lone Eagle Grille
You can’t beat this après ski sunset view. Lone Eagle Grille is located on a private beach just minutes from Diamond Peak Ski Resort in Incline Village. Relax next to their oversized fireplaces overlooking Lake Tahoe, and enjoy drink and food specials from 3:00 – 6:00 p.m. every Sunday through Wednesday.
Beer NV in South Reno has the largest beer selection in northern Nevada, with 60 different taps in addition to a full cocktail menu. Indecisiveness is your friend here with choices of 4 ounce pours, up to 32 ounce glasses. Browse their handy digital menus and try a little bit of everything! (Okay, maybe not ALL of them.) Beer NV does not serve food but accepts deliveries from the many nearby restaurants if you’re craving a snack or meal to accompany your happy hour.
