Good News – Tahoe’s Ski Season Extended!

If you’re planning a trip to Reno Tahoe in late spring or early summer, you better pack your swimsuit, golf clubs AND your ski gear! A few area resorts are already planning to stay open well into the spring and even summer months. Check out the season snow totals and extended season dates below.

Mt. Rose Ski Tahoe

Boasting the region’s highest base elevation, they are also home to the most snow in the country with 650 inches with more on the way. Mt. Rose, located just minutes from downtown Reno, plans to stay open through Memorial Day weekend.

Squaw Valley Alpine Meadows

With a snowpack of 21 feet, the resort plans to keep its lifts running well into June, and even plans to offer skiing and riding for the 4th of July.

Other Tahoe resorts have also announced extended seasons through the end of April. With bluebird days and record-breaking snow pack, plan your spring ski trip today. Just don’t forget to pack your sunscreen!
