Are All Houses Haunted?
They just might be! On Oct. 2-31 Victorian Square in Sparks offers more than one frightening experience. The Maze and the Black Hole, Evil Clown Town, and Zombie Farm House are offering tickets for just one or, if you are really daring, packages for all three! For another nightmarish experience visit Kingdom of Horrors in Reno every weekend through the month of October. Based in the swamplands of Kilburn Estate, you will be outstandingly terrified. For a corn field fright offered every weekend in October, visit Corn Creepers Haunt at Andelin Family Farm. This maze is considered extremely scary so parents with small children be forewarned. There is a beginner level option for the kiddos to tone-down the scary. This is the one time a year that it is acceptable to bring your nightmares to life! Don’t miss out this Halloween!
Local Pumpkin Patches
Pumpkin patches aren’t just for picking the perfect face for your new Jack-o’-Lantern. Visit these local spots for a variety of attractions that your kids will love! Toll House Pumpkins is proud to welcome one and all to their Fall Harvest Festival. Come have some old fashioned fun with pony rides, train rides, bouncy houses and classic pumpkin picking from all shapes and sizes. If getting lost is what you’re after, then the Lattin Farms annual themed maze is for you! Not only does this farm pride itself in growing exceptional produce, but each year they turn their corn crops into art through their annual corn maze. This year, the maze is dedicated to their motto, “We grow food and family fun.” In addition, Lattin Farms provides a petting zoo, scarecrow making factory and a crafter’s market. For a pumpkin experience in Carson, visit Corely Ranch. This real working ranch raises cattle, farming, hay and pumpkins for people to come and enjoy. Not only can you visit the ranch to pick your pumpkin of choice, but Corely Ranch offers the opportunity to rent the property for events. Visit the farm for October fun and to plan your next occasion.
