An Easy Ridin’ Guide: Street Vibrations Fall Rally 2016

Downtown Reno will rumble with motorcycles of all shapes and sizes, September 21-25 at Street Vibrations Fall Rally! No matter the make or model of your ride, grab your favorite back-warmer and head to the last great motorcycle rally of the season. Five days of FREE, live music on multiple stages, vendors selling everything motorcycle, factory rigs, stunts shows, food and a WHOLE lot of beautiful bikes.

Most activities are free to the public. However, if you’d like to register as an official Street Vibrations participant, you’ll receive an official t-shirt, ride pin and hog tag and be able to participate in poker runs, scavenger hunts, VIP parties, ride-in show, and slow bike races. Plus you’ll receive secured VIP motorcycle parking.  Register online or in person at the Reno Ballroom.  All makes and models of motorcycles are welcome.

From Wednesday, Sept 21 through Sunday, Sept 25, there will be nonstop activities in multiple venues. Check out the detailed schedule of events for times and locations (subject to change).  Highlights include:

Shop Til You Drop!

There will be no shortage of vendors (more than 250 of them) in addition to 15 factory rigs.  It’s shopping paradise for everything and anything motorcycle-related, as well as unique crafts and gifts. Vendors will be located inside the Reno Ballroom and on Virginia Street in downtown Reno.

Police on Parade

Erik Estrada, Grand Marshall

Erik Estrada, star of the popular TV show CHiPs, serves as the Grand Marshall of Police on Parade, honoring our men in blue. The parade starts on Virginia Street and Commercial Row and will travel through the middle of the event venue! Estrada will be available for photographs and conversations during a “Meet and Greet” in the Reno Ballroom (3:00pm-4:00pm and 7:30pm-8:30pm).

Silver Collector Car Auction

Another new event added to this year’s line-up is Mitch Silver Auctions, featuring 350 hot rods, muscle cars, nostalgic cars, customs, classics and memorabilia. For buyer, seller and a detailed auction schedule, click here.   The auction runs Thursday-Saturday at the Sands Regency Hotel Casino (outdoor tent).

Denver Choppers Vintage Bike Show

The Reno Ballroom is the place to experience a “Real Deal Old School Chopper Show” presented by Mondo Porras & Les Covington of Denver Choppers.  This invitational competition features vintage choppers and bobbers with old school influenced builds that will be evaluated by Porras, a world-renown vintage motorcycle judge. Many of these awesome beauties will be one-of-a-kind!  Thursday/2:00pm-10:00pm, Friday/10:00am-10:00pm, Saturday/10:00am-5:00pm (awards at 5:00pm). Free to the public.

Tattoo Expo

Ready for new ink?  Then visit this expo in the Reno Ballroom for body art extraordinaire!  Wednesday/12:00pm-9:00pm, Thursday-Saturday/10:00am-12:00pm, Sunday/10:00am-5:00pm.

Globe of Death Stunt Show

Wednesday-Sunday
6th and Virginia Streets

Monte Perlin, motorcycle trick rider and movie stunt man, will provide jaw-dropping action.  The former stunt double for Arnold Schwarzenegger has a show that is sure to amaze.  The Globe of Death features motorcycles traveling at break neck speed in a tight 15-foot sphere.  Performances daily.

Ford Motor Company Experience

Wednesday-Sunday
Corner of 2nd and Virginia Streets

Street Vibrations has partnered with Ford Motor Company to offer test drives of the 2017 450 Ford Super Duty before it’s available at dealerships! Wednesday/2:00pm-8:00pm, Thursday-Saturday/11:00am-7:00pm, Sunday/10:00am-5:00pm.

Controlled Burn Fire Dancers

Thursday and Friday/8:45pm

Under the Reno Arch, enjoy talented fire artists who will perform dance using various fire instruments. It’s sure to leave a glowing impression.

Fireworks

Saturday/9:00pm

The Silver Legacy in downtown Reno will host a fireworks display from their roof top.  The perfect ending to day filled with music, metal and motorcycles.
