Amazing Conditions with Record-Setting Snowfall in Lake Tahoe
Lake Tahoe leads the country in snowfall!
It is a great start to 2017 in #RenoTahoe! In January alone, snow storms have dropped more than 200 inches (that’s 16.6 feet) of fresh, white powder. These mega-storms have helped Lake Tahoe accumulate blankets upon blankets of snow in only the first two weeks of the year blasting the area’s ski resorts to the very top of snowfall totals in the country. Check out the storm totals at Lake Tahoe ski resorts here… all offering breathtaking views of Lake Tahoe and unbeatable sights of the surrounding mountains.
With 8 feet of fresh snow this storm cycle and Crystal Express opening back up today, conditions are great for a long MLK weekend. Tip for the weekend: Get a Flex Pass and skip the ticket lines. #diamondpeak #tahoenorth #travelnevada #dontfencemein

There’s even better news: Forecasts predict sunny skies for the upcoming Martin Luther King, Jr. Holiday weekend, meaning skiers and snowboarders, gather your gear because the most ideal weather conditions are anticipated.
On top of (or rather, underneath) the amazing snow, Reno Tahoe hotels are offering outstanding Stay & Ski Packages and Fly in, Ski Free Deals starting as low as $39! Resorts are located as close as 25 minutes from downtown Reno and the Reno Airport.

UPDATE: Sierra-at-Tahoe will resume operations on January 12, 2017. With snow totals near 10 ft, it’s safe to say MLK weekend is going to be a good one. While we’re excited to get out there with you, we want you to be aware of a few things. Your safety remains our primary concern. We’ll start the day with limited terrain and lift access. Ski Patrol and Mountain Operations will continue to work diligently to get lifts and trails open once they are safe and ready. That being said, both West Bowl and Grandview will be on a delayed opening with no exact ETO. We appreciate your patience and understanding. Let the party begin. | #CertifiedUnserious | : @nathan_vetter
